College Hill Venues

Art Club Through its public programs, its art instruction classes for members, and its active exhibition schedule, the Providence Art Club continues a tradition of supporting the visual arts in Providence and beyond

Brown Street Park  A park for the entire family!  Come to exercise or play or to take part in the summer and fall programming. 

Chezan Gallery at Wheeler  A nonprofit artists' space which exhibits a wide range of contemporary work by artists living or working in the area.

East Side Pharmacy Center Not only is the ESPC the last remaining independent drug store in the East Side area, but it it also home to a wide variety of wine.  Stop in for a wine tasting event – coupons are available on the website as well.  You will be well taken care of at ESPC!

Haffenraffer Museum  The Haffenreffer Museum of Anthropology at Manning Hall will host changing exhibitions curated by Brown University students working with the Haffenreffer Museum’s staff.


Lippitt House Museum  A museum bursting with the elaborate detail of high style Victorian decoration and family collection that brings to life 19th century Providence.

Music Mansion  The Music Mansion is a vibrant center of music lessons, student recitals, and musicales.  Learn more about this historical mansion, and the incredible resources it provides to our community.

Providence Athenaeum  Come to peruse the vast collection of literature, bask in the historic architecture or participate in a special event for children. 

RISD Museum  The Museum maintains an active program of exhibitions, lectures, tours, workshops and publications dedicated to the interpretation of art and design from diverse cultures ranging from ancient times to the present.

RISD Music Fridays  Music Fridays at The RISD Museum are the Second Friday of the month, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Museum Members: $5 Non-members: $8 Age 21 and over For the most current event details, visit the RISD Musuem Events page. 

The Spot   You can sign up for anything from art classes to salsa to yoga to voice lessons at The Spot on Thayer.  Who knew so much was right there in the heart of Thayer Street?!
